Happy Fall Y'all!

Happy 1st day of Fall!!   Cooler nights, pumpkin spice lattes and bonfires mean the season is changing!   So... today I decided to get my formal Living Family Room ready for fall.  If you haven't noticed, I really like redecorating my rooms!  This process has a way of making me "fall" in love with all of my knick-knacks again :)  Plus it's a great excuse to add a few new pieces to my seasonal collections.   I got started by emptying all of the shelves to create my blank slate.  I put all of my decor on the floor so I could see what I was working with.   Here is how I got started: Then I just followed the steps from my previous post to add my decorations back onto the shelves.  You can find those steps here . And voila... So it took me about an hour to get this look and that included doing a little dusting!  You can totally do this!   I also whipped up this adorable Harvest ...

Why my blog failed, and how I'm fixing it!

Several years ago when I started my blog I had no idea what I was doing or where I wanted it to go!  Now... three years (and two more kids) later I am finally on the right track!  I have discovered that I did this whole blog/business thing backward.  I jumped in on writing a blog without really having much content to write about and frankly I was boring myself with my posts!  I stopped checking in on it because it became a burden, and with no real followers, I felt it drift away. Harvest Bunting Banner

Today, while I was redecorating my Living Room, I decided to make this Harvest Bunting Banner to add to my Fall decorations.  It was really easy and I'll show you the steps to make it here. Here is what you will need to complete this project:           ~ 1 yard fabric (I used an old table cloth)           ~ 1 brown paper bag (or any sturdy fabric)           ~ scissors, roatary cutter and mat           ~ letter stencil           ~ black paint and brush           ~ twine or ribbon           ~ Sewing machine Step One:   You will need to decide how big you want your triangle to be.  I did 10 inches wide x 12 inches long.  (I chose this size to make sure my widest letter fit on the triangle)  Since 12 was my longest length I cut my fabric to a 12 inch width. ...
